EDUCATIONAL RESOURCESArmed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)Interested in joining the military? An ASVAB test is test administered to anyone interested in enlisting in any of the US Armed Service branches. This site provides free practice tests for all categories of the ASVAB so those interested in joining the military can get a sense of the questions they will expect to see on the ASVAB. You then take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test. The testing measures an applicant’s suitability for enlistment. The entire exam takes three hours. There are nine sections on the exam (General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics Knowledge, Electronics Information, Automotive and Shop Information, Mechanical Comprehension, Assembling Objects, and Verbal Expression), each section has a time limit from 10 – 36 minutes; the entire exam takes three hours. It’s important to do well on the test, because high scores lead to more and better military career options. Test scores are based mostly on the four math and verbal sections of the exams.
