LANESBORO FIRE & AMBULANCEThe City of Lanesboro is proud and honored to have a dedicated Volunteer Fire Department. The Volunteer Fire Department began its roots in 1884! In 1898 it was incorporated under state laws and is now known officially as the Lanesboro Volunteer Fire Department and Aid Association. Currently, the Lanesboro Volunteer Fire Department consists of 22 active members! We began contracting the services as of December 2003. The Police force consists of 3 full-time officers and several substitute officers.The Preston Police Department, led by Chief Blaise Sass, serves the Lanesboro, Minnesota community during weekdays. Deputy Officers Tim Melver and Gideon Prudoehl assist the chief in upholding law and order.
