Our troops work hard for us . . . Far from home, few things brighten their days more than mail from friends and loved ones.  A simple note to let them know how much their sacrifice is appreciated and that they are not forgotten is always appreciated.
*Active Duty Personnel and Veterans do not have to be members of the American Legion Post 40 to be posted on our website.

ATTENTION United States Military Service Members:
Active Duty Status (if not on Active Duty, it may be applicable), current Reservists or National Guard Service Members.  You are urged to check For Your Situational Awareness (FYSA).  The Servicemember's Civil Relief Act (SCRA) website provides information on a wide range of protections for individuals entering, called to active duty in the military, or deployed servicemembers.  The SCRA is intended to postpone or suspend certain civil obligations to enable service members to devote full attention to duty and relieve stress on the family members of those deployed servicemembers.  A few examples of such obligations you may be protected against are outstanding credit card debt, mortgage payments, pending trials, taxes, and termination of leases.  For more information  http://www.military.com/benefits/military-legal-matters/scra/servicemembers-civil-relief-act-overview.html

THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO HAVE COMPLETED THEIR ACTIVE DUTY
